An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are looking for a teacher of Maths for this large girls school located in Medway. There are approximately 1000 students. This is a happy school with an excellent reputation in the local area particularly for its excellent examination results. The school caters for a wide ability of students and encourages and expects success from all.

Ofsted (2008) has described the school as “a good school…the committed and effective headteacher and leadership team have brought about improvements in standards in GCSE”. “Student’s positive attitudes and good behaviour help them to take advantage of the good quality of education provided for them”.

This is a full-time post teaching to GCSE level. Due to structural changes planned for the school it will initially be on a one or two-term contract dependent on the candidate. The school is described as having a “strong family ethos” and the successful candidate will support this.

The school is easily accessible by road and is serviced by a local bus service.

The post starts immediately.

The successful candidate will be/have:

* Experience of teaching Mathematics to GCSE (UK experience is preferred)
